The Cuban Group of Rock Art Research, the Cuban Institute of Anthropology and Archeology have the stage to invite you to participate in the II INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON ROCK ART , to be held in Havana , Cuba; collaterally the X International Conference in November Atropología 2010s.
The meeting, as usual, aims to open a space for theoretical discussion among practitioners and scholars of rock art around the world and America in particular, promoting the update of the latest research methodologies implemented by students and the most significant discoveries in the area.

The Organizing Committee of the INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM decided to dedicate the completion of it in tribute to the late Dr. Shobinger deep Aboriginal researchers from our past. For his tireless work on rock art in the Black River, Paints, in Chubut, Santa Cruz, Neuquen in Patagonia, Argentina, the first, and the Sierra de Baoruco, the Cave of Wonders and the Dominican Republic in general, the second . Well as for his prolific teaching, bequeathed to the present and future generations of American scholars.

Coordinator: Victorio Téc Cue Villate. It can show several dimensional works (sculpture, carving, Ridge and others) that have been taken as regards the legacy of Aboriginal rock the continent. The format for easel paintings must not exceed 1.50 x 1.50 m., the sculptures and installations do not exceed the square meter. Recorded for supporting a work or series of them, not limited number of pieces. Artists send a dossier before March 31, 2010. Coordinator: Ms. Dany Valdés Morales. Shall be designed in various videos showing the work of registration and documentation, national parks, rock art, rock art stations and other related topics. Na exhibition of the videos will not be developed simultaneously with the communication tables. Videos must comply with the standard NTSC 3.58 Mhz.
FORMAT FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS AND PAPERS:
Titles and Authors: The title and subject area should be focused to lead the work (highlight titles in bold). Below, right justified, the name of the author or authors, institution or sponsoring the work program and email address.
Abstracts: publicfarán to be oral presentations, graphics or videos, not to exceed 200 words. They will be sent written in Word 6 or higher. The sheets should be letter size a space of 2.5 cm. on all four edges. The texts will be presented in a font type Times New Roman, 12 point, single (highlight titles in bold), justified text, with a spacing of 1.5. These are sent to the Organizing Committee until March 31, 2010, by e-mail the symposium.
Extension Conference: The work submitted must have a maximum length of 12 pages (including graphics, photos and bibliography.)

The paper should be exposed in a harsh time of 15 minutes and discussion will take place in 10m min. The use of slide projectors, transparencies and acetates, as well as the Data Show and barrel must be requested in advance.
REGISTRATION:
The workshop is aimed at professionals. students and specialists involved and interested in the study. management, protection and conservation of the rock charts. Registration fees are $ 70.00 for professionals and $ 40.00 for students (upon presentation of documents) until August 31, 2010. after that date will be $ 100.00 and $ 70.00 respectively. Accompanying give a bonus $ 50.00 until August 31, 2010 and $ 80.00 after that date. Registration fee includes accreditation diploma participation, stationery and CD presentations, participation in activities collateral to the event and the coffee-break.
